Colossian's Study site

Anyone interested in an on-line study of Colossians?   If you are, I've started a new site just for it here:  http://www.xanga.com/Colossians_Study   I'm hoping some of you will join in and offer your insights with us.  Hope to see you.

In Christ, Lisa

Sounds like a number of us are experiencing a tough time right now.

My tough times tend to come when I've been sliding in my walk with God, when I've been neglecting to spend time in his presence.  It seems so easy to let life intrude ~ everything can seem so important sometimes ~ and time spent in prayer, in praise and fellowship with God and fellow Christians becomes a low priority.  Not the way it should be.

"If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.  Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.  For you have died, and your life is his with Christ in God.  When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with him in Glory."  Colossians 3:1-4

Would anyone be interested in doing an on-line study of  Colossians?  If so let me know.

Classes are going rather rough for me at the moment.  Having a difficult time staying focused when studying and having difficulty retaining the material well enough to pass the tests.  Would greatly appreciate prayers there.  Also for direction in making decisions about where to go when I'm done with school and for working through what I need to finance the remaining months of school and living expenses.  Thanks.

Blessings and peace,
Lisa aka Mom

Updating just for Gary!  Thanks for missing me!

Classes began this past Monday.  I have a really full load and it's keeping me very busy.  Things are going well though.  Please continue to pray that I do well in clinical and also in class.

Jessie is settled in and looking for a job.  Kitties are very happy to have more people around!  So am I!  Please pray that Jessie finds a job soon.

I did another painting.  My best yet, I think.  See it at: http://lpbonistudio.blogspot.com  Hope to paint more, but studies come first.

It's just starting to really sink in that I'll be done with school in a little over 5 months and that I need to start thinking about what to do next.  Many decisions to make, much prayer needed.  I've lots of ideas but no clear direction as of yet.

Oh, and I'm another year older...   as my dad says, as long as they keep on coming, everything is alright!

Back to studying... Blessings to all,
Lisa/Mom

Wishing you all a blessed Thanksgiving.

Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!
Serve the Lord with gladness!
Come into his presence with singing!

Know that the Lord, he is God!
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to him; bless his name!

For the Lord is good;
his steadfast love endures forever,
and his faithfulness to all generations.

Psalm 100

Hey there...

Just needing an update from my kids.  Haven't heard from anyone for a while.

Gary ~ are you moved yet?  If so, I need your new address, OK?  Thanks.

Jessie ~ e-mail me or give me a call, ok?

Josh ~ I really enjoy your frequent posts and detailed updates.

I have a job interview on Thursday.  Please pray!  It would sure help my finances at the moment, but I'm a little anxious about how much free time I'd be giving up.  Figure that God knows what I need.

Love and hugs to all ~ Lisa/aka Mom
